Purpose:
The incumbent will lead junior mechanical engineers and also put to work his expertise in the domain knowledge in the project implementation and technological advancement in design, test and integration and new product development

Ability to rapidly learn new concepts with little to no supervision.
Technical Skills
Technical skill and knowledge of mechanical engineering, including mechanism and thermal engineering.
Design calculations, Solid modeling, DFMECA, Reliability analysis, GD & T
Strong Solidworks 3D design background / proficiency.
Finite element modelling,
Thermal – linear, nonlinear, transient analysis, Static, dynamic, structural, and vibrational analysis
Ansys, Icepak, Ansys workbench
Job Description
To do design calculations for various mechanical systems & components
To calculate reliability & MTBF of components & systems
To Select/size various mechanical components – Gears, Bearings, shafts, Couplings, springs, keys, bolts, nuts, washers, keys etc
To select materials & manufacturing process for various mechanical components
To Select/size electric motors with the help of electrical engineers.
To do tolerance analysis
To develop Conceptual designs using CAD software such as AUTOCAD, SOLIDWORKS etc.
