Role Overview

As the Product Management Leader for New Energy, you will be the primary architect transition into the sustainable power landscape.

You will lead the roadmap, development, and commercialization of a diverse portfolio, including Alternate Fuel Gensets (Hydrogen, Methanol, Ammonia etc.), Solar Photovoltaics, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Electrolysers, and Fuel Cell (FC) Gensets etc.

Your mission is to integrate these technologies into cohesive “Balance of Plant” (BoP) solutions and microgrids that provide reliable, green, and cost-effective power to sectors like Data Centers, Healthcare, and Defence.

 Key Responsibilities

 Strategic Roadmap & Portfolio Management

  • Portfolio Strategy: Define the short-term and long-term roadmap for New Energy products, ensuring a balanced mix of “bridge technologies” (Gas/Flex-fuel) and “future-tech” (Hydrogen/Fuel Cells).
  • Market Analysis: Conduct deep-dive TAM/SAM analysis for BESS and Green Hydrogen across C&I (Commercial & Industrial) and Utility segments.
  • New Product Introduction: Lead the stage-gate process from concept to commercial launch, coordinating with R&D to ensure technical feasibility meets market demand.

 

Technology & Solution Integration

  • System Design (BoP): Oversee the integration of “Balance of Plant” components, ensuring seamless communication between gensets, solar inverters, and storage systems via proprietary microgrid controllers.
  • Fuel Agnostic Transition: Drive the adoption of alternate fuels (Hydrogen, Methanol, Ethanol, Bio-gas).
  • Electrolyser & FC Strategy: Develop the go-to-market strategy for Hydrogen generation (Electrolysers) and stationary power (Fuel Cells), focusing on captive power and grid balancing.

 

Commercial & Go-To-Market (GTM) Leadership

  • Value Proposition: Translate complex engineering features into “Cost-per-kWh” savings and Carbon Credit benefits for customers.
  • Pricing & Profitability: Build dynamic pricing models for hybrid solutions, accounting for battery degradation, fuel costs, and regulatory incentives (e.g., PLI schemes).
  • Ecosystem Partnerships: Identify and manage strategic alliances with battery cell manufacturers, PV module suppliers, and EPC partners.

 

Required Qualifications & Experience

 Education: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics Engineering. An MBA from a premier institute is highly preferred.

 Experience: 12+ years of experience, with at least 5 to7 years in a leadership role within Renewable Energy, Power Electronics, or Energy Storage.

 Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of BESS architecture (LFP/NMC chemistries, BMS, and PCS).

Familiarity with Hydrogen value chains (PEM vs. Alkaline Electrolysers).

Experience in Hybrid Power Systems and Microgrid controllers.

 

Industry Background: Prior experience at global energy majors or leading Indian renewable firms (e.g., Tata Power, ReNew, Sterling & Wilson, or international OEMs).
