Job responsibilities:
- Set and achieve inspection targets as per the plan
- Monitor the blasting process, including air pressure, abrasive contamination, moisture content, and ambient conditions such as humidity, surface temperature, and surface profile by replica tape, salt contamination test, etc.
- Monitor the painting process using both destructive and non-destructive tests, such as DFT, crosscut, pull-off adhesion test, pinhole detection, etc.
- Ensure proper handling of materials and reduction of rework
- Coordinate with other departments for various painting in production department-related activities
- Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures at all levels
- Prepare documentation
- Implement IMS and KAIZEN at the workplace
- Meet quality requirements of customers and ensure reduction of cost
- Interact with coating vendors for technical queries
- Manage industrial relations to ensure a harmonious work environment
- Maintain shop floor discipline and ensure adherence to safe working practices
- Document and record ongoing blasting/painting parameters in the inspection report.
Requirements:
- 4 to 6 years of relevant experience
- In-depth knowledge of surface preparation, blasting, and painting processes
- Knowledge of various coating materials and their application processes
- Experience in implementing IMS and KAIZEN at the workplace
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Should have Process Equipment background
