We have an urgent opportunity for Design Engineering (Assistant General Manager) position for a leading manufacturer of diesel engines and generator sets for all residential and commercial usage
Key Responsibilities
Genset Engineering:
- Develop and optimize process engineering solutions for large Gensets in MWe capacity. Integrate Genset systems with the balance of plant components, including pressure vessels, cooling systems, and starting systems.
- Integrate Mechanical Systems with Electrical Systems, Sizing Calculations of Auxiliaries, Instrumentation, Gauges, Motors, and Pumps etc.
Engineering Design and Calculations:
- Having knowledge of detailed engineering design and calculations using MATLAB, SIMULINK or ASPEN, and other relevant software.
- For Logical design validations.
- Perform hands-on calculations for rigid and viscous mountings, structural supports, and brackets necessary for the complete Genset system.
Subsystem Integration:
- Lead the integration of various subsystems, ensuring seamless connections and interactions among critical components within the balance of plant.
- Design and validate connections between diesel tanks, pressure vessels, gas tanks, and other major components.
Piping and Instrumentation:
- Design piping circuits for all connected modules and systems, incorporating best practices for fluid dynamics and system efficiency.
- Generate and validate Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and develop process control logic based on hypotheses and empirical data.
- Cooling, Air, and Exhaust Systems: Design and optimize cooling systems, air Intake, Compressed Air Circuit and exhaust circuit along with components to ensure system robustness and efficiency.
