Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Design & Draftsman with hands-on experience in CAD and SolidWorks.
The candidate will be responsible for preparing 2D drawings, 3D models, P&IDs, and BOMs, with a strong focus on piping and tubing systems.
The role requires close coordination with engineering, project, and production teams to ensure accurate and efficient design execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Drafting:
Prepare detailed 2D drawings using AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software
Develop 3D models and assemblies using SolidWorks
Create and update General Arrangement Drawings (GADs)
P&ID and Documentation:
Prepare and interpret Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
Generate and maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOM)
Ensure proper documentation control and revision management
Piping & Layout Engineering:
Design piping layouts, tubing routes, and skid-mounted systems
Select and integrate valves, fittings, and instrumentation components
Ensure designs are aligned with manufacturing and installation requirements
Cross-Functional Coordination:
Collaborate with project, production, and quality teams
Support fabrication and installation teams with design clarifications
Participate in design reviews and technical discussions
Compliance & Standards:
Ensure designs meet applicable engineering standards and specifications
Follow internal quality procedures and documentation practices
Requirements:
Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks
Strong understanding of P&ID, GADs, and BOM preparation
Experience in piping/tubing design and layout
Knowledge of mechanical components, fittings, and valves
Basic understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes
Experience in process equipment / skid fabrication / industrial systems
Exposure to oil & gas, instrumentation, or mechanical OEM environment
Hands-on experience in engineering or fabrication industry
