Execution Leader – GM/ DGM

We have an urgent opportunity for Execution Leader (Renewable Energy/ Power Plant projects) position for a leading manufacturer of diesel engines and generator sets for all residential and commercial usage

Domain Knowledge

  • Hands-on experience with Solar Utility/C&I, BESS, and Hydrogen/Fuel Cells.
  • Understanding of DC/AC power systems and BoP.

 

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Project Management software, AutoCAD, and an
  • understanding of Grid-Scale storage requirements.

 

Soft Skills

  • High “Get-it-done” quotient, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to operate in a high-growth, ambiguous environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

 Project Lifecycle Management

  • Lead the execution of multi-technology “New Energy” projects from site survey and design finalization to commissioning and handover.
  • Manage the integration of Balance of Plant (BoP) components including transformers, switchgears, cooling systems, and power electronics.
  • Develop and monitor detailed project schedules (using MS Project/Primavera) to ensure “On-Time, In-Full” delivery.

 

Technology Integration & Quality

  • Oversee the field deployment of BESS (containerized solutions) and Electrolysers, ensuring seamless communication with the grid and Energy Management Systems (EMS).
  • Work closely with the R&D team to provide field feedback on Fuel Cell Genset performance and hybrid system (Solar + Storage + Engine) optimization.
  • Maintain rigorous quality standards for civil, mechanical, and electrical works, adhering to CPCB- IV (and upcoming) emission and safety norms.

 

Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management

  • Collaborate with SCM to identify and vet vendors for critical components (Inverters, Battery Modules, Membranes, etc.).
  • Negotiate and manage EPC sub-contractors and specialized technology partners.
  • Mitigate supply chain risks, particularly for long-lead items in the BESS and Electrolyser domains.

 

Safety, Regulatory & Compliance

  • Enforce world-class HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards at all project sites.
  • Navigate the regulatory landscape for New Energy in India, including grid connectivity approvals, fire safety for BESS (NFPA 855), and hydrogen handling protocols. 

 

Leadership & Capability Building

  • Build and lead a cross-functional team of field engineers, site supervisors, and commissioning specialists.
  • Drive a culture of innovation and agile problem-solving to address the “first-of-its-kind” challenges inherent in New Energy technologies.

Education: B.E./ B.Tech in Electrical Mechanical Renewable Energy Engineering Or MBA
Experience: 12 to 18 years
